Younger Three’s

Welcome to the younger three year olds room.

Potty-training readiness occurs at a different age for every child, which is why we created the Younger Three’s Room. This classroom has a restroom adjacent to the classroom, which allows us to achieve greater success for those children who are still working on potty training. However, the curriculum in this room is the same as the Older Three’s Room.

In this room we focus heavily on laying the foundation for cognitive development; specifically how they interpret and sort all of what they learn on a day-to-day basis.  Focusing on this behavior will greatly help your child in learning how to stay focused and sit still for longer periods of time.  It’s not always an easy task to learn but something that will ensure better preparation for our pre-school room and into your child’s early elementary years.

In this room we base our curriculum on the creative curriculum for early childhood education philosophy.  It offers hands on learning based on each of your children’s interests and strengths.  Science experiments, dramatic play, fine and gross motor play, writing, math and early reading exercises are all a part of our weekly curriculums.  The belief that learning should be fun yet educational is a key belief here at NGK.  We want all of your children to succeed in a fun and uplifting environment.

It is now well established that important development and learning occur during these years in all areas –physical, social, emotional, and cognitive (including language, perception, reasoning, memory and other aspects of development). It is our goal at NGK to ensure that our program promotes the development and enhances the learning of each individual child served.
